Track practising @Streets of Willow

Now adjusting with aero.
Some lapping with aero:

Car feels good, maybe I need some comparison point for lap time, no clue is that 1:20.202 fast or slow :/

Big Willow practising, far away from good driving lines, but practising more Smile

1:20's are I think decent, that's what I'm running with a DS3 at least lol. I was a lil worried when you posted 1:23 tho, I thought yikes but had a feeling you would narrow the gap shortly.

I'm running 1:26's at Big willow but there is a lil more room there I believe.

This exercise is interesting because of the track choice. There are those long right hand turns, witch need to go with throttle and the car must be in control during those corners and the car must stay in the driving line. It's very intresting how Ode and Sinist3er will resolve this. I think there is much to learn of this resolution.

I used Bread style of approach, time 1.24,7 ( big willow, I must check the car, is everything among rules, time difference is too big / Ode is faster than me ). The Bread style of setup is for me the first approach to setup. This might change after more laps in this track. If my car was ok ( among rules ), I think we will see times 1.22-1.23. Time is not very intresting, but the changes from normal-type of setup is extremely intresting.

We will need some time for this exercise to do it properly ( everyone is busy in their private life ). I strongly suggest that readers ( everyone) make own setup for this track and study the differences of Breads, Odes and Sinisters setup.

Jouni you remembered to set track grip real?
I'm not so quick, maybe some seconds faster after track is more familiar and maybe some tweaking on tune. Probably my tune stays "bad" for big willow and better for streets, there has to be some compromises between tracks.
Already compromising setup as it will work online too, so taking care of my tires, making setup what i can use online.

1:24.7 at Big Willow seems doable to me, I'm still rough with the DS3 and my DS3 trouble is smooth exits a big deal at Big Willow. With my G27 and some fine tuning I think I should be looking around the same mark.

Car does have to be at proper spec tho.

Ode cut 3 seconds off his Streets time I'm confident he will chop down his Big Willow time too, these are prelim laps during tuning after all. I think we both would be surprised if that wasn't chopped down some..

I think what's good about these exercise is just how easy it should be for guys learning tuning to compare tuning styles, see how some set ups look and run, and have a platform to experiment with their own tuning that's not as overwhelming by limiting tuning to specific parts and generally keeping variations from car to car settings based and concentrated vs people using every glitch in the book to cheese an advantage.

1:24.7, needs just braking marks and line practise on last corner and it's there, and first corner braking practised softer and going under.
Without aero that time would be easier to achieve, but it costs tires, here comes my idea to make tune working online. Using aero on car makes it slower too on straight. Compromises...

I'm trying to find solution for handling problems thru realistic ways, there is already few places where I was having place to take shortcut on tuning and solve my handling desires with not so real way, but don't want to take shortcuts.

I'm sorry, that is the reason, I was wondering, what is wrong. I forgot to do changes in track conditions.
Edit: and too much power, I forgot turbo.

@Jouni, no problem, that just inspired to go and tweak my tune and push harder.. [s]1:26.2[/s] 1:25.812 at now, this seems like dreaming to drop 24, [s]25 will be soon achieved[/s], but 24 is too much for me.

Now everything is ok, track and car. Time 1.25,871. This will be my fixed poin to data logger, now I can compare different setups.

First 1.26,4. Then I moved little pit to more Sinister type of setup ( added more front camber, still front camber is less than rear and I must use front toe out more than Ode type of setup ). I use quite a lot of front grip at the moment.
