The Nissan LMP1 car has been conformed coming to GT6 for the Final Round of GTAcademy 2015
In light of ths there has been much buzz over the FWD Front engine layout of the LMP1. At first the thought comes to mind WTF thats Wrong Wheel Drive especially for LMP1 but this car is not the typical FWD. Now rumors are being spread the ERS system is not fully operational but that aside lets look at the Theory behind the Nissan GTR LMP1
Ive found who have some videos talking about the theory behind the car. These guys are on point and these videos are great for learning about why the Nissan GTR LMP1 might not be as crazy as it would seem.
This guy OBVIOUSLY has some insight as he is allowed up close in the pits with the car
This guy has great videos and while his video is mostly theoretical, his theory is sharp, and on point
I like the theory and technology they are going for in the Nissan, I also like the long shot team, the guys thinking outside the box, That aside I think this GTR LMP1 is one of the ugliest Racing Cars in history. I just have not grown to like how it looks, that wont keep me from driving it and racing it, if it works it works, but its still ugly..
It looks like a clown shoe with wheels to me, when I see it I look up to see if a giant Ronald McDonald is there..

The car IN THE GAME has a KERS system, but I honestly think its all FWD even the electric power goes to the front. I hear them talking about this option in the Lenos Garage episode on the GT-R LMP1, saying it could go to the front or the rear and opting for front only removes the rear drivetrain.
How much power? Well, its got 1491/1082 downforce settings, and with all that weight and downforce over the front Im still smoking the tires pulling out of slow corners, its only saying 604hp (thats a PRE-ERS power all motor) Seems like a lot of juice comes and gets released fast.
