(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); After a lot of work, I finally managed to change the GameID of PSJailbreak's BackUp Manager to one of a real game. (See Below!)

Original Manager.PKG GameISad Awesome LAUN12345 >>> Not real ID
My Manager.PKG GameISad Awesome BLES00232 >>> Sega Superstars Tennis

I didn't modify the EBOOT.BIN, but did modify PARAM.SFO and ICON0.PNG.

I will release a tutorial soon to explain how I did it. Please Note: I am also the same Xcellerator on PS3 News, so this post will also appear there...

so far no. But i could likely be doing something stupid as this is all new to me.

You have a link to your ps3news backupmanager to make sure i get the right one?

Im confused, what does this do? So I get PSJailBreak and this basically changes the game ID to a legit one? How do you get the games on there though?

The original BackUp Manager had a Game-ID of LAUN12345, which Sony can detect. My ones have Game-IDs from legit games which Sony wouldn't be able to detect. You get the games on there by backing the up (you need the real game!)

i am using your backup manager now. MW2 patch installs and i can play an hdd game.

i guess that works then?

what does the patch do anyway? i guess i am still stealthed Sega Tennis?

although the ICON says BLES00232 stealthed, whatever one you chose will be the Game-ID, I just couldn't be asked to change the icon... :-).

Thanks for testing, I'll update the site saying that it's been confirmed to work!

Apparently, you can make your own PSJailbreak device using a Blackcat USB. There's a thread explaining the method somewhere in the forum.

Yes, this GameID edit is purported to make you undetectable by Sony.

I can't seem to backup to internal drive when using stealth backup managers. External drives are backing up fine.

Is anyone else experiencing this?
