The one thing I like most about this is how much the word "irreparable" is used throughout those documents.
Irreparable: impossible to repair, rectify, or amend

It's exactly why Sony is taking him to court. It's all about making an example of him because they can't repair the damage that is unfolding at this very moment because of the work that him and failover have done.
What else are they going to do?
Seriously though, dumb business move on their part because 1. it forces the code to be distributed more "underground" and 2. they claim he distributed devices, of which he did none; he just distributed the code; of which anyone could have done. He could have passed it on to someone else to do the distribution of all of this information but he didn't.
So I guess he has some idea of what he's doing or has expected what's happening to unfold.
Although from what I can see, Sony's scare tactics may work against most people here. No one wants it to turn into an RIAA case in America again I suppose.
