they made a snd 3.56 firmware update so like 3.56v2 and they may have edited it so that u can only be on the origanal now as it probly the update denies ur ps3, also if u have kmeaw look at ur ps3's name, i bet its called linux =P but all this in the red screen try to reinstall or format ur hdd then try to update again
