Post: How To play Killzone 3 From USB HDD

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); The reason we need to do this is because Killzone 3 contains a file above 4GB in size as many of you will know you cannot put files above 4GB on A fat32 Usb Drive and because the ps3 dose not support ntfs this is the only way to transfer the files besides FTP in a way that multiMAN etc.. can read them.

Tested using 2D rip and multiMAN 1.15.00

1. Download OpenSplit 1.2 You must login or register to view this content.

2. Extract OpenSplit and run OpenSplit v1.2.jar

3. Click Split Big Files To .666xx
You must login or register to view this content.

4. Go to game folder e.g. BCES01007 select open
You must login or register to view this content.

5. It will begin to split the large file into 1 gb parts once at 100% quit OpenSplit
You must login or register to view this content.

6.Go to \BXXX-XXXXX\PS3_GAME\USRDIR\ it should now look like this:

7.Copy the BXXX-XXXXX Folder to your GAMEZ Folder on Your External USB Drive.
You must login or register to view this content.

8. Enjoy

I transfered to internal hdd (picked up a 500GB hardrive for $60 today) and it works perfect. Smile

Can get them from anywhere, price depends on size/brand/speed of hardrive, just get the cheapest,Really makes no difference unless its for a computer.Make sure its a 2.5" drive.

Try Arrow computers, Austin computers, Storm computers.

I bought bought mine from a little electronic store down the road called JC that was really cheap.

OR if you have the patience, jump onto ebay and buy one from the US, probs pick up 1Teribyte for the same price.
