OK copy the data to the root of a memory stick. Then go to system settings and install other os. Go up one and change the default os and then change it to other os. It will restart and load into linux and thats you.

I wonder how many of you ever ran any form of linux in your life? Because when he released this guide you were like "O-m-g linux thx fraz". I would recommend trying it on the computer before dicking around with it on your PS3. As you could screw something up.

Get the cursor on the USB Stick icon an press up/down to change resolutions.

I do and you can't really screw anything up with a live image, no?

if you put a ps2 or psx emulator on your usb could you run the emulator using linux??
an i wanna go back on my ps3 so i press the controller picture and it doesnt do anything!

EDIT: i somehow got it to go to ps3 again, an i aint tryin to use linux again

If you restart your ps3 and remove the usb it automatically goes back onto the ps3's os.

You can't screw anything up with a live image? You can. No idea if it can read the PS3 HDD or not, but if you run a live image over a PC you can screw all kinds of things up. (If you don't know anything about what you are doing) Like installing it, editing wrong files, messing with longhorn, etc.
