OK copy the data to the root of a memory stick. Then go to system settings and install other os. Go up one and change the default os and then change it to other os. It will restart and load into linux and thats you.

I downloaded the file, copied them to my flash drive(all three), Went to Install OS, installed successfully, changed it over to the new OS, restarted it, it comes up to the controller and the flashdrive, i picked my tv and then it froze...it does this every time. I cant get it back to the PS3 default.....HELP!

nice one noob. After hearing that you deferentially didn't safely remove your hardware as i keep Fuc king saying.Turn off your PS3 then leaVE IT FOR 10SECONDS. Turn it on and hold the power button on , it will beep once then a second time after like 5 seconds and it will tell you to choose your display output.

Well i just told you how to get back onto the PS3 but hey if you dont like my link how about you try search for pdaXrom linux.

lol ye , that's what everyone freaks out at , but there is absolutely no chance of it ****ing up. Any more questions i'll be glad answer them.

Ya, So when i downloaded the .rar file i had the corrupted file problem too. I re download three times..
