-PSN Pass is a code you will get in games that you enter in one time only so you can play online.

-You get the code for FREE if you buy the game NEW.

-If you buy the game used, then you have to pay a $20 (not yet confirmed) fee to get the code ONLY if you want to play online.

-Not all companies will participate in this! They can choose to do this IF they want to. EA is already on the list, that's a fact, and Ubisoft (creators of the popular series Assassin's Creed) as well.

-GameFly is going to lose a lot of users! I really liked GameFly, I am cancelling my subscription this month

-So if you want to buy your games new, don't worry about it, you don't have to pay any extra money to pay online. You just enter the code, and you're done. If you want to lend your game to your friend, they can't play online unless you give them your system, or unless they buy the code.

-This will take effect September 2011.

-Sony: :yuno: make online free? If I had to choose whether to pay online for Xbox or PS3, I'd choose Xbox. At least there you actually get something! (Cross game chat, voice IM, and a better online experience).

Why is there so much flaming on this thread? What went wrong? Seriously, it was intellectual until out of nowhere disagreements started and now there's insults being thrown left and right. Every one needs to chill out for a moment. And I still don't agree with this Pass idea.

Still don't follow, and don't really care. For graphics wise, PS3 is the way to go. For simpler hacks, PS3. For blue ray? PS3. For free (at the moment)? PS3. Big bulky, hard to hold controllers that look like one giant octopuss? XBOX. Kids who get caught crying their eyes out when forced to get off? XBOX (video. If you haven't seen it, Google it.) Non blu ray movies, and having to spend over $100 on an actual blu ray system plus the gaming console? XBOX. Bitch all you want.
Just be thankful you haven't had to pay for online play yet.

I think hacking is actually much easier on the Xbox. Corret me if I'm wrong. But other than that, I agree with everything you said.

The PS3 'hacking/jailbreak' is just sticking a flash drive in your USB, and letting it do its magic. From my understanding, the XBOX uses soldering guns and shit?

Well now, who here really buys used games for their multiplayer? Whenever I buy a used game, it's for SP; I buy the new game if I want to play the multiplayer, since I'll be doing that from day one.
