(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Ok, so I saw a few threads on here about the PSN Pass, but it seemed to me that people were confused on what the PSN Pass really is. So mods- please don't close this thread.

-PSN Pass is a code you will get in games that you enter in one time only so you can play online.

-You get the code for FREE if you buy the game NEW.

-If you buy the game used, then you have to pay a $20 (not yet confirmed) fee to get the code ONLY if you want to play online.

-Not all companies will participate in this! They can choose to do this IF they want to. EA is already on the list, that's a fact, and Ubisoft (creators of the popular series Assassin's Creed) as well.

-GameFly is going to lose a lot of users! I really liked GameFly, I am cancelling my subscription this month :(

-So if you want to buy your games new, don't worry about it, you don't have to pay any extra money to pay online. You just enter the code, and you're done. If you want to lend your game to your friend, they can't play online unless you give them your system, or unless they buy the code.

-This will take effect September 2011.

-Hope I cleared up some information!

-Sony: :yuno: make online free? If I had to choose whether to pay online for Xbox or PS3, I'd choose Xbox. At least there you actually get something! (Cross game chat, voice IM, and a better online experience).

:FU: SONY!!!!

Its the same with xbox. You will have to pay for xbox live and the code. So don't start whining about ps3. Also the code only works for one account.

There is a difference between whining and stating your opinion.

I know it'll stop pirated games and all, but $20!?!? I wouldn't mind $5 or $6. But charging $20 is very cheap of them to do. Why pay $20 for every game, when you can pay only $50 or $60 a year for Xbox Live? For all of your games?

And just because I gave my opinion doesn't mean I am a bad or stupid person. It's a**holes like you that think if it doesn't agree with your opinion, then it's wrong. Grow a pair would ya? You're calling me a kid? What you just said makes me think you're eleven. And so what if there are kids on these forums? They can play games too! Seriously, quit being an idiot and try and become reasonable.

Where is your source of 20$? Sony will not charge 20$, they are a smart buisness company that makes practical moves to increase profit like all companys, you can't get mad at them for doing that.
I can think it's wrong if it is wrong.

Anything can be hacked, but Sony didn't even take precaution by updating their security, and this could have been avoided if they did.

And, that has nothing to do with Playstation?

You sure? Go back to the article and re-read it.

No it would not have been avoided, the hackers had their heart set on hacking Sony because of their suing of geohotz.
And yes, that has nothing to do with Playstation, by directly related it means that it is by the same group because it happened after the Playstation attacks.

Yet Sony did Nothing to try and defend themselves, they stood wide open and let themselves get punched in the face by them. If Sony tried to do something, this wouldn't have happened. And your misreading it, by directly related, it means that the credit cards were stolen from the attack. They're in direct coloration with one another. During the attack, the cards we're stolen. Thee is no possible way they could have stolen the credit cards after the PSN went down. You suggest that it does, but it simply doesn't. It went under a maintenance for weeks and the attack was the one and only one where the credit card info along with other info (By the way, not useless as you had previously suggested. What if someone had your address, name, and telephone? That's important shit.)

NGT are shit for news, most their news is wrong, and biased. The times that it is right, is the times that everyone already knows it.
Don't trust NGT, I'll requote you on this once Sony reveals the price of I would guess around 10$ which would be fine in my opinion.

Did you even read the link I posted? Sony Online Entertainment creates MASSIVE MULTIPLAYER GAMES for the PC, similar to Runespcape, or WoW. They charge people to play them and the credit cards were stolen from that, not PSN. I am not a user of that service, but if I was I would be madded, but I am not and neither are you I assume due to your lack of knowledge on the subject.

Redweed
Do a barrel roll!
This won't effect me because I only buy 1-2 games a year. This year I'm going to buy the new dragon ball z game.

That's still pathetic on Sony's part. But how would you justify these two articles then?

The first one is easy, out of 80million users on PSN, obviously a couple of thousand of them are going to have money stolen from their credit cards. Money is stolen from credit cards every day, its nothing new, people just think that because it happened during the PSN outage it was caused by hackers, either everyone or no-one is the saying that should be used here.

Don't trust the hackers, they were trying to cause a shitstorm.
