-PSN Pass is a code you will get in games that you enter in one time only so you can play online.

-You get the code for FREE if you buy the game NEW.

-If you buy the game used, then you have to pay a $20 (not yet confirmed) fee to get the code ONLY if you want to play online.

-Not all companies will participate in this! They can choose to do this IF they want to. EA is already on the list, that's a fact, and Ubisoft (creators of the popular series Assassin's Creed) as well.

-GameFly is going to lose a lot of users! I really liked GameFly, I am cancelling my subscription this month

-So if you want to buy your games new, don't worry about it, you don't have to pay any extra money to pay online. You just enter the code, and you're done. If you want to lend your game to your friend, they can't play online unless you give them your system, or unless they buy the code.

-This will take effect September 2011.

-Hope I cleared up some information!

-Sony: :yuno: make online free? If I had to choose whether to pay online for Xbox or PS3, I'd choose Xbox. At least there you actually get something! (Cross game chat, voice IM, and a better online experience).

if this comes into action, im abandoning Sony after 10 years of service, even through the month of down-time.
I'll never buy a Sony product ever again, my Xperia x10 will be going, two ps3's, two tv's and all my games.
I'll be going STRAIGHT over to Microsoft even though i ****ing HATE xbox, but i buy all my games second hand, for the entire point of getting at least 20 bucks off.

i have both xbox and ps3, i prefer ps3, but if they are doing this then sony can...in simple terms...get ****ed...i mean it wont make much difference to me seeing as ill probably buy my ps3 games new but still, this is shit for the many people that cant afford new games, i mean i barely can, but i like the feeling of owning something that no one else has before...thats the only reason i buy most games new

Well i can tell you, i earn 500 euro a week, but most of that goes to taxes now (living in ireland) and including every other expense, i HAVE to buy games second-hand. 50-60 euro for a new game when i can wait a month and get it for 30-40? it's not gonna make a difference now -.- it KILLS me to say this, but i think xbox is the way to go from here D=
