I just don't get it, what draws people to Microsoft?

People must realise that this a victory for all gamers,in general.
Speaking as a "true" gamer, i know what the changes are and what it brings to the community.
Sure, the Xbox players are annoying most of the time, thats because they are a very young community.
And because kids will buy the console that most their mates have(Xbox 360 by popular demand) you will have a shed load of squeeky kids constantly shouting and screaming in your lobby.And that is one of the reasons why i don't play Xbox more often.
i am not a PS fanboy, i am, however, a gamer that enjoys playing his games in peace and concentrate in my own world.
Again, i buy whatever console suits my needs, my gaming preferences, and what the console offers in terms of games, etc etc, and not because it's what my friends have.
If you can't make friends online, then you got issues, and i suggest you start socialising more.

I didnt read the whole thread but to answer your question, Microsoft is a very rich company. They can buy almost anyone in the gaming industry, I mean they already have Activision and EA under their thumb and that provides exclusives to their users. Sony doesn't have that, the company is in a LOT of trouble financially.

Well I could understand people going back to Microsoft now since they pulled the plug on the whole DRM and always online requirements to use their console. But what people don't understand is that Microsoft can say that now, but go back to DRM and always online the week before release because it isn't final. Even if the release console doesn't support DRM/AO they can always alter that at anytime after purchase.
In my opinion anyone who buys the Xbox One is a fool and frankly I don't give a shit if I tell that to anyone in my family because they are.

I agree, plus the fact that you are also signing a contract that you give them permission to activate your Kinect camera to see whether users are active, what they are doing, and how they are interacting... erm, I see this as something being used by hackers to gain unauthorized access to many persons lives.
