Ok I want to keep this thread as a BLOG, because I want people to input there knowledge into this thread.
What I found was DLC Maps are signed, so what I did to test this out was, grab the mp_shipment_load.ff file from my Cod4 disc, and paste it in the DLC mappack1 folder, to see if it would load the "loading screen"
However it didnt load, it just froze my ps3.. which mean the ff file is corrupt.
So I decide to swap over my other DLC "loading screen" file to a different map file.
This is what you get.
As you can see, im using the Killhouse loading image, for the map Creek. It works perfectly.
The only way we can get around to load custom maps, is to Open up the EBOOT_MP.bin which alot of people know how to do now, since Black Ops.
To change the excute name of the map, (So it will boot your Custom Map, not the DLC one)
And also, pasting in the header of the dlc maps into your cutom map.
I do know that, consoles dont carry IW iwd file, as it is all stored inside the .ff file of the map. So im not sure how to load the bsp images.

Are you sure those files are located on the Disk?
1. I believe you in a way, because all the textures and materials are located on the disc in the packfile1.pak
2. Maps like Chinatown, have unique texture. I have not seen a simular texture on any other map. This is why I thought to myself that all the textures are located within the .ff file.

So maybe your right, about Cod4 runs the images from the Disc, So this means custom maps will only load the same textures on the PAK on the Disc?
yes,it should load any custom textures that are on the disk,so for an example: vehical_mig32_static is a 3d Xmodel and is located in every map(because its a airstrike plane)and can load in any area/position,so what i was thinking is i make a map called mp_test,compress it for the pc version,then find the 3 image files that are located on the ps3 disk(that would include the map load options)and add a new GSC into the file,i said image because it loads both the map + images.for ps3,they dont have a MAIN folder,if we can locate the IW files,all we need to do is get the IWD file for the map and itll run,but a slight chance itll need to be signed,ill upload a pict to the located GSC map images now: You must login or register to view this content.

as you can see,the Operation Storm map names are replaced and work,but originally it was the cod4 maps.

the thing is,that only I and anyone else can convert the maps when we work it out,so every map you want signed,you ask us or request it.

Unlike if this happened to cod4 + 5 I would think it would get people away from playing black ops.

What if we don't have to edit the eboot at all. If we replace a map with lets say mp_highschool, all we should need to do is use that nice little code that was found a while ago to change it. So in our patch put a bind that will have the code "map highschool_mp"

So if you could create a test_mp and try to direct the textile to the disc, like in the DLC, maybe this should work no?
I dont have the tools to do this sort of stuff, so I would like if you helped me.
