You cannot downgrade your PlayStation 3 system.

Reasons:
1. You can't downgrade as when you update you just add the new features (not the whole firmware) otherwise it will take up to 10GBs, but it only takes 100-200 MBs

2. As SONY always says "never update your system by any other source, that is not in Sony's website OR that is not the update we're offering, as this can cause some damages to your console"

3. You can only Update

4. There are people who have already tried it, and the result is fail, while those who are saying it works, doesn't have proof, or even better, haven't tried it (those are only theories that they are putting)

5. It is logical that, you can when there is a new firmware you're updating your system, and not installing the whole new firmware.


PlayStation 3 Modded Lobby (challenges)

1. For now there are only theories, and some real things about how to hack Modern Warfare 2 challenges (for PS3), so it is necessary that you DO NOT believe in everything that people post/say here, when they even haven't tried it. Again those are just theories from them.

2. Make sure that before you're trying any kind of method on "how to hack mw2" you're sure about what you're doing, and if the other people are "really sure" also about what they are saying, then they should post some proves.

I've done all the decrypt steps, I've the patch_mp.ff starting with these 12 bytes:

    49 57 66 66 75 31 30 30 00 00 01 0D (IWffu100....)

but I can't open it, zlib says "data error", ffViewer "bad header", etc...

Dude, for the seoncd time, when you go to playstation.com and go to the link that they give to download the update the ONLY add the new feactures, NOT the whole firmware (which i doubt you can downgrade without installing the full previews firmware), which means that if your gonna downgrade, you gonna need to uninstall the current firmware, NOT just download the new features that were added to that old firmware (example v3.00).

it is like this example:

1, 2, 3

how come are you gonna go to number 2, without even deleting number 3? when you just try to downgrade to number 2 (which is already there) you will just be adding a feature that is already there, and you will end up getting a error.

due to the UPDATE being installed on the PS3 itself and NOT the HDD

you said as of now ? so it could be possible too maby downgrade some how but (as of NOW we cant)

studio needs 16 bytes of hex to even begin to look for diferances, am getting tierd ov reading the same old b.s copy and pasted. i am working on this hack now. i have a ps3 60gb with 3.21 and a ps3 slim with 3.30 sata, programs etc etc. WE NEED PPLK WHO ARE TESTING THE METHODS TO COME TOGETHER AND HELP EACH OTHER. i can help u man i only hav 1 ps3 but my only problem is the dummy and the error sayin its 2 small. so once i find dummy and if u cud helpp it wud b good. then ill b able 2 do the rest. GRR DUMMIES HOLD EVERY1 BAK:p hhaha im so funny

ppl seem to be under the impression that finding the dummy is easy, it aint that easy, once we know where the ps3 stored the dummy on the hdd, its pretty straight forward to start dycrpting. but finding them 16 bytes is killing my eyes
