First of all

You cannot downgrade your PlayStation 3 system.

Reasons:
1. You can't downgrade as when you update you just add the new features (not the whole firmware) otherwise it will take up to 10GBs, but it only takes 100-200 MBs

2. As SONY always says "never update your system by any other source, that is not in Sony's website OR that is not the update we're offering, as this can cause some damages to your console"

3. You can only Update

4. There are people who have already tried it, and the result is fail, while those who are saying it works, doesn't have proof, or even better, haven't tried it (those are only theories that they are putting)

5. It is logical that, you can when there is a new firmware you're updating your system, and not installing the whole new firmware.

PlayStation 3 Modded Lobby (challenges)

1. For now there are only theories, and some real things about how to hack Modern Warfare 2 challenges (for PS3), so it is necessary that you DO NOT believe in everything that people post/say here, when they even haven't tried it. Again those are just theories from them.

2. Make sure that before you're trying any kind of method on "how to hack mw2" you're sure about what you're doing, and if the other people are "really sure" also about what they are saying, then they should post some proves.

That's all, enjoy. Also this is the reason why many threads are getting closed/deleted by the Moderators without any advice or warning.

Happy Modern Warfare 2 hacking, and happy PS3 workingSmile

ok, do the first dump off your hdd via find and merge. it will create 2 files .txt and .bin open up the .bin in winhex (set values to offset 0 and bytes 512 via view > record presentation, also change background colour to blue or pink > general > background colour)

notice that every block off 512b of data is exactly the same throughout the .bin file (except from very begining, prob boot sector not sure) now we know the pattern off data encrypted without the dummy.......

plug hdd bk into ps3 and upload the dummy via usb drive to music section.... turn off ps3 and hook up your hdd to the pc again.

open up studio again and on PREPARE TAB select create an hdd image (all hdd) ........... use pysical disc.......... save to desktop or where ever you want and name it ps3 image with dummy.

once you have the full image open it with winhex

scroll through a few lines and you will notice that the same pattern from the .bin file is reapeting itselfs over and over again. keep going through till you see a pattern ov hex repeating itself again, i found mine in the middle of the image. so as you find a repeating patten u got it!!!!

my data stated 2F 28 D11 11 80 (without dummy)

and the pattern i found to be the dummy started 00 21 B3 F4 E5

remember when u look at the full dump with dummy file you will see 2 different repeating patterns, 1 off the patterns will be same as the first .bin file >>>>> the odd pattern out is the dummy!!!!

good luck guys

No you can't, are you retarded? Don't post this bullshit unless you try it for yourself, and you will know that will not work

A PKG file is like an install file, it is compressed, encryted, signed, so you wouldn't be able to do anything with it. Again, please don't post this BS unless you've tried it. Don't just look at peoples theories and immideately believe them.

Yh.... okay, you just copied what Hunter said on PS3news, and in fact it starts with IWff0100! You've just stupidly gone and copied the one he was talking about for WaW.

dude you have no Idea what your talking about Infectus can't be patched and it wasn't even out yet when 2.01 came out.:n:

Can you do this on 3.30 or only on 3.21? If we can do this on 3.30 then it will be crazy as **** finally hunter and his minions won't keep posting threads with teaser vids about his hacks!
