First of all

You cannot downgrade your PlayStation 3 system.

Reasons:
1. You can't downgrade as when you update you just add the new features (not the whole firmware) otherwise it will take up to 10GBs, but it only takes 100-200 MBs

2. As SONY always says "never update your system by any other source, that is not in Sony's website OR that is not the update we're offering, as this can cause some damages to your console"

3. You can only Update

4. There are people who have already tried it, and the result is fail, while those who are saying it works, doesn't have proof, or even better, haven't tried it (those are only theories that they are putting)

5. It is logical that, you can when there is a new firmware you're updating your system, and not installing the whole new firmware.


PlayStation 3 Modded Lobby (challenges)

1. For now there are only theories, and some real things about how to hack Modern Warfare 2 challenges (for PS3), so it is necessary that you DO NOT believe in everything that people post/say here, when they even haven't tried it. Again those are just theories from them.

2. Make sure that before you're trying any kind of method on "how to hack mw2" you're sure about what you're doing, and if the other people are "really sure" also about what they are saying, then they should post some proves.

yeah i found the dummy on 3.30 aswell buddy, so it can be done, just that 3.30 put the dummy sectors all over the place, but that shouldnt matter, cause in the encryption stage find and replace the dummy sectors with the modified data via the 16 bytew hex string and partlogs. so i reckon it is now possible with 3.30 just gonna take a bit longer.

so mate wot ps3 u runnin fat or slim? i mean the one on 3.30

3.21 on 60gb fat and 3.30 on 120gb slim. and using hdd from slim as a 2nd hdd on my p.c to swap out full images off the 3.21, makes it that little bit easier.

okk and so u hav found the dummy on 3.30 slim... coz sum1 told me slims hide the dummy data

dunno who told you that, but i have found dummy on both 3.21 and 3.30

on 3.21 the dummy data is really easy to find, grab the scroll bar and drag it down, you will notice on obvious change in numbers
(thats the dummy and the pattern repeats for a few thousand lines)

with 3.30 the dummy data is there but it is stored in smaller sections (meaning theres more lines spread out through the hdd)

it takes a bit longer to find the dummy on 3.30 but i found it after 10 mins today. remember, u only need to find one section of the dummy data, the first line of hex is the 16 byte encyption string everybody is looking for.

hope this helps a few ppl out, am still working on a tut, but wont release it to anyone till i have got a lobby up and running.
