You cannot downgrade your PlayStation 3 system.

Reasons:
1. You can't downgrade as when you update you just add the new features (not the whole firmware) otherwise it will take up to 10GBs, but it only takes 100-200 MBs

2. As SONY always says "never update your system by any other source, that is not in Sony's website OR that is not the update we're offering, as this can cause some damages to your console"

3. You can only Update

4. There are people who have already tried it, and the result is fail, while those who are saying it works, doesn't have proof, or even better, haven't tried it (those are only theories that they are putting)

5. It is logical that, you can when there is a new firmware you're updating your system, and not installing the whole new firmware.


PlayStation 3 Modded Lobby (challenges)

1. For now there are only theories, and some real things about how to hack Modern Warfare 2 challenges (for PS3), so it is necessary that you DO NOT believe in everything that people post/say here, when they even haven't tried it. Again those are just theories from them.

2. Make sure that before you're trying any kind of method on "how to hack mw2" you're sure about what you're doing, and if the other people are "really sure" also about what they are saying, then they should post some proves.

no your wrong , i have the file which i got from ngu , i have 2 ps3 and already reformatted and upgrade to 3.21 and my ps3 says other os. So i downgraded. I do not have a capture card but it isnt hard for people to try this as you can always upgrade to the new firmware


so your entire post is wrong . You are able to downgrade if you have a file of the old firmware , which i do and if you want it or anybody wants it , i can email it directly to them

lol did u even read what i wrote? also did u read my thread? i said that for you in order to downgrade, you will need to delete the entire firmware, also i stated that you can NOT downgrade having your firmware 3.30 and just putting a lower firmware to usb, and download it via Storage Media in the ps3. Get it?

You're not even reading, i said if you have the firmware downloaded, that method should work, and you just said "no your wrong , i have the file which i got from ngu" which is same thing iam saying, so what are u talking about that iam wrong? what's wrong about what iam saying. Can you downgrade without having the firmware downloaded? no. Can you downgrade without deleting the entire firmware (formatting ur ps3)? No.

i did. Stop lying to people. If you reformat you will have no firmware at all . You will need to download it but instead of via internet you go via storage device. Get a usb and load up fw 3.21 into and install


there you just got a ps3 w/ fw 3.3o and now you have one with 3.21

Once again i donot have a capture card but this will not afect your ps3. The most is you will have to redownload the new fw

Your argument holds 0 water. I have tried it TIME AND TIME AGAIN. YOU CANNOT DOWNGRADE IT VIA STORAGE, VIA ANYWHERE AT THIS TIME.

reformat first, actually back up your p3 first then reformat you will have no fw. I will try to email you the 3.21 fw. If you reformat you will be able to upgrade. But if you do it from the net you will get 3.30 so use the 3.21.

Your FW is not stored on your HDD. It is stored on an internal NAND chip. Once again, you cannot downgrade.

I have plenty of places I can download old firmware from, if you try and load firmware that is of a prior version your ps3 will not "recognize" it as firmware it can restore from.

dummy was pretty easy to find, so now i got the hex string i need.

if anyone is trying to do mods and struggling with the dummy sector pm me and i will tell you how to find pretty easiley. dont bother sending pm's (add me when your done) cause it wont happen, i will help ppl who are willing to help me, and them selfs)
