You cannot downgrade your PlayStation 3 system.

Reasons:
1. You can't downgrade as when you update you just add the new features (not the whole firmware) otherwise it will take up to 10GBs, but it only takes 100-200 MBs

2. As SONY always says "never update your system by any other source, that is not in Sony's website OR that is not the update we're offering, as this can cause some damages to your console"

3. You can only Update

4. There are people who have already tried it, and the result is fail, while those who are saying it works, doesn't have proof, or even better, haven't tried it (those are only theories that they are putting)

5. It is logical that, you can when there is a new firmware you're updating your system, and not installing the whole new firmware.


PlayStation 3 Modded Lobby (challenges)

1. For now there are only theories, and some real things about how to hack Modern Warfare 2 challenges (for PS3), so it is necessary that you DO NOT believe in everything that people post/say here, when they even haven't tried it. Again those are just theories from them.

2. Make sure that before you're trying any kind of method on "how to hack mw2" you're sure about what you're doing, and if the other people are "really sure" also about what they are saying, then they should post some proves.

killin my eyes tooo mate but im still not 100% sure wot im searching for coz the only break in the encryption are those sectors with a few lines of hex then repeating 00. and also mine dont start and end with same value? is sumfing wrong?

might be a prob with 3.30 firmware, as just gonna do a new dump on 3.21 now. if youy open the dummy data in hxd or winhex every hex string is 99 99 99 99 99 99 99 99 99 99 99 99 99 so when the ps3 encypts it there should deffo be a pattern.

am gonna compare 2 dumps. pre dummy dump, and dump with the dummy. then i will know for sure when i have found the dummy.

cant belive how difficult it is to find 16bytes on 2.2gb of repeating data pmsfl

infact, the only thing i havent tried is the obvious 16bytes of repeating data. gonna do a bit on winhex and report back soon

Hang on i looked 2 and saw every string as 999999 so wud that mean we are lookin 4 a sector that repeats the same values?

i have an old version of fw. and i dont have a capture card but all i did was download the fw 3.21 then i reformatted my ps3 and via usb updated the firmware 3.21

the mods have been deleting and closing , maybe some of it is to stop us from messing our ps3 up but some are just because there on hunter's penis. Theres still a thread open with challenge lobbies time and date. Well there was another one open but not from hunter or his associates and it got closed. I msg the mod who closed it with the link to the challenge lobbie thread that is open and asked why is it this one thread gets closed but the other one who is from a hunter associate has not be closed and theres over 1000 post and the person who posted the 1st post has not been invited. There is prefrence going on by the moderators here on ngu.

Yeah that can be a way to downgrade BUT that is if you have the firmware 3.21 already downloaded, and about the threads, just ask HSx9, he is mod, he can answer you that question, i'm sure about what im talking about, but you dont, your just saying "your thoughts" not what exactly is.

the ps3 hdd will encrypt the dummy data we put on it. theres already a pattern on the hdd without dummy, so the dummy will be a pattern just like that. but with different values
