Joined the forum to get help on Jailbreaking my PS3 and hacking MW2 to get glitches and prestige etc.

I know the basics of Jailbreaking a PS3 as I have a guide and the files needed. Im going to try the Jailbreak tonight or tomorrow on an older PS3 that I have on 3.55. When I Jailbreak the PS3 where do I get the modded patches for MW2 and how do I go about setting them up on my PS3.

I am totally clueless on how to go about this. Is there any links people can give me or any guide somebody can post to give me simple step by step instructions on how to do this.

Also when I install the game patches will I be asked to upgrade to 3.56 to play online and will this effect the patches or my PS3 in anyway or is there a way to bypass this.

Any help would be greatly appreciated because im totally new to this and really need all the help I can get

Aready a problem. Ive managed to get into the recovery mode for the PS3 but when it says to press start & select together to find the update on the USB it says no applicable data found

It all looks very simple but for some reason it wont pick up the data on the USB. The jailbreak file is only 5mb in size. Is this right because other updates are around 175mb in size

I know man. The only problem Is that in the 3.56 update that added a feature so sony can find and disable homebrew and unauthorized content without your consent or warning you.

Im not sure how theyll get around that but I hope they do

Did you get from 3.56 to 3.55 already? If not then find a thread on that.

If you are then leave recovery mode. Turn on the ps3 and go to the options in the XMB at the top of the options menu It will say system update. Click that and select Update Via storage media. Make sure your USB is inserted and the ps3 should detect the JB file. Let it load. The ps3 will turn off and beep quite a few times. when it shuts off all the way boot it back up and under the games section you should see Install Packages.

Im using an older PS3 that was on 3.55 before. Ill try it through the main screen now. Just thought you had to do it via recovery
