Joined the forum to get help on Jailbreaking my PS3 and hacking MW2 to get glitches and prestige etc.

I know the basics of Jailbreaking a PS3 as I have a guide and the files needed. Im going to try the Jailbreak tonight or tomorrow on an older PS3 that I have on 3.55. When I Jailbreak the PS3 where do I get the modded patches for MW2 and how do I go about setting them up on my PS3.

I am totally clueless on how to go about this. Is there any links people can give me or any guide somebody can post to give me simple step by step instructions on how to do this.

Also when I install the game patches will I be asked to upgrade to 3.56 to play online and will this effect the patches or my PS3 in anyway or is there a way to bypass this.

Any help would be greatly appreciated because im totally new to this and really need all the help I can get

Hey. On the left of the screen in ComGenie there is no option for hd00, just a dev_hdd0. I thought it might have been a typo so I entered that anyway and went to game but there is no BLUS30377. I thought you might mean BLES30377 but that is also not an option

Yes there was a typo. On the right it will be dev_hdd0 and on the right it should dev_usb0.

Look at your MW2 game case. On the side at the bottom there should be a number. What is it?

Yeah there is dev_hdd0 and dev_usb002

The number on the case is BLES00683

Ive checked and it is on the list. Will I continue and use this directory

Yes click BLES00683 then USRDIR, and then copy the patch_mp.ff the same way as Ive told you before.

Thats it copies. Im doing this on an old PS3 with a new PSN I made on my current PS3 so ill have to register the PSN with this PS3. To go online will I now have to change the DNS numbers that I was told in the first page

Yes just create a new user tab on your old ps3 and when you go to "Sign up for playstation network" select "use existing account" and enter the info for the desired account. And then yes enter the numbers for the DNS bypass and you won't be required to upgrade to 3.56.

Once you're signed in go onto MW2 and start yourself a private match to test the modded patch. Once in the private match you should be able to press up on the d pad to access the menu.

Change my DNS and logged in. Not asked to go to 3.56. Game seems to work and all the hacks look good

To update the patches on your ps3 just copy the new patch over the old one the same way you put the first one on.
