The Police are scared to use too much force after the 2009 G-20 Riots, in which they got criticised for doing there job. Also, it's illegal to use water cannons in mainland Britain, and although the Prime Minister, David Cameron, could legalise them in an emergency COBR (a sort of UK version of the White House Situation Room) meeting tomorrow, they would have to be brought in from Northern Ireland which could take a certain amount of time we do not have.
With no considerable force to fight back with it seems were fighting a loosing battle and it looks like the government is playing a "burn its self out" strategy.
Well what do you think would be the best way to bring things back under control?. It doesn't seem a good sneak peak at what could happen at the 2012 Olympics does it?

I don't agree with the methods to get this issue in the light but i think it something we need to deal with. Not just block them out.
Ugly truth we created this and failed to deal with it now we seeing the effects.
Shooting your own people should never happen , we not on a scale which that level of force could be justify it.

I think they should let the country vote on it, Im up for letting the police beat the shit out of anyone that ****s with them, even if that includes a bullet to the head. They need to know when to stop, they're just brain dead thugs who will never have a life and feel the need to take away other people's because life is so miserably unfair for them, they cant do what they want and take what they want, ****ing boo hoo.

Umm you should do some research before saying stuff about he was a gang leader, infact he wasn't a gang leader, nor did he shoot the officer, infact a different officer shot the officer, the guy was just armed, the reason people we're raging was due to the police officer not using other methods (tazering, etc) so the guy didn't have to die.
