(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); This angers me so much :argh: Were too soft; this would never be allowed in any other country. Only around 10% of the Metropolitan Police are Riot trained, so theres not enough to make many arrests AND hold Police lines. So were just watching our own city be ripped apart and burnt to the ground!.

The Police are scared to use too much force after the 2009 G-20 Riots, in which they got criticised for doing there job. Also, it's illegal to use water cannons in mainland Britain, and although the Prime Minister, David Cameron, could legalise them in an emergency COBR (a sort of UK version of the White House Situation Room) meeting tomorrow, they would have to be brought in from Northern Ireland which could take a certain amount of time we do not have.

With no considerable force to fight back with it seems were fighting a loosing battle and it looks like the government is playing a "burn its self out" strategy.

Well what do you think would be the best way to bring things back under control?. It doesn't seem a good sneak peak at what could happen at the 2012 Olympics does it? No

I would agree to the riots to some extent, riots similar to this have happened (Search Broadwater farm riots 1985), the police should of been ready for this sort of thing. As for the rioters I really don't mind them looting or whatever, but what I do mind is burning peoples houses and such, the police here always pick on the black minority, which is why it has caused the rioting. Before the violence broke out, it was a calm peaceful march, but because the police never gave anyone, any information as to why the person had died, which then people got angry and became violent.

Umm you should do some research before saying stuff about he was a gang leader, infact he wasn't a gang leader, nor did he shoot the officer, infact a different officer shot the officer, the guy was just armed, the reason people we're raging was due to the police officer not using other methods (tazering, etc) so the guy didn't have to die.

From watching Sky News earlier, this is what happened and why they killed Mark Duggan.

Mark Duggan did not open fire at Police, Officers opened fire on Duggan because they were "In fear of their own lives".

Whoever fired at Duggan should be locked up for this, not even the British Military are allowed to open fire on people holding a weapon, unless that person shoots at them first.

Here's a source from The Guardian saying that Duggan did not open fire. You must login or register to view this content.

I never said Mark had shot anyone, I said he was shot because he was armed.

I see so they are allowed to use them now, so they will probably tomorrow. It will ether discourage these riots or go very wrong...

Just quarantine the whole city. Get every policeman, soldier, tank, the US army, everything and circle around London. Dont let anyone out unless they can proove they have a job, and not if they're carrying something new of high value that doesnt have a receipt. Then leave them there. Let them riot as much as they want, kill eachother etc. They wont have anywhere left to loot in a few days and no one will be getting them food. they cant steal services and they're all dumb as ****. They dont know what life is about, all they care about is a few free ipods. They're a waste of space.

If that doesnt work give every policeman a gun and taser, tell the faggots if they dont stop now they'll all be tortured and killed one by one, every man woman and child that thinks its OK to burn down London. **** them. They cant beat their government. Afghanistan can wait. We have the equipment to take down the ****ers. I dont see them with kevlar vests and shields, do you? We have the upper hand and they can sit the hell down or go to hell.

Please tell me why the US army would help the uk with riots.

No
Am saying the police should do all within there power to stop this and we should do all we can end the issues which help create this not just avoid them until next time.
Firing bullets to end this is not the right answer
Police should be using all they can with unlimited resources to end this.

Police can only do so much before we need to do something else.
