I apologize for the awful image xD

A 14 year old boy from Russia beat his Dad to death while he was sleeping, after he was banned from playing video games. His keyboard was removed by his parents after he'd been playing on his computer for a week. After seeing what the boy had done, his mother gave him back the keyboard, and he played games for several more hours until he fell asleep. At this point, the mother phoned the police. In Russia, he can be charged for murder, despite his young age.

Yes, it's another 'gaming goes horribly wrong' incident, but you can't deny they're becoming more frequent. What I find the worst is how he CONTINUED to game, even after bludgeoning his own father to death, the mother must've been scared to death.

Haxor!
This is a issue popping up a lot lately. Parents are not taking control I guess :( . Although this kid is just way way way to addicted.

Man, after reading this...I just can't believe it. People are saying the parents should have been watching what their kid was playing and make sure he wasn't playing for a long time and if it were thier kids then they would take them off. But, think about it, it's really easy to get addicted to video games. Ok, everyone knows you don't have to play for a really long time in order to want to play more, I'm sure it's happened to all of us at some point when we get a little angry, upset or frustrated that we can't play longer. Certainly not to this extent. Well maybe when it seemed as if the kid was overplaying by the parents' standards they decided to take it away from him and that's when it happened. Anywas RIP for the father, I feel for the mother and I spit on that kid.

This situation has very little to do with the games them selves.
This has more to do with the kid being a total nut.
Seriously who loves video games that if your own parent took it away you would kill them.
It is even more of a pain in the ass that the gaming community has to put up with the problems of it now.
