A 14 year old boy from Russia beat his Dad to death while he was sleeping, after he was banned from playing video games. His keyboard was removed by his parents after he'd been playing on his computer for a week. After seeing what the boy had done, his mother gave him back the keyboard, and he played games for several more hours until he fell asleep. At this point, the mother phoned the police. In Russia, he can be charged for murder, despite his young age.
Yes, it's another 'gaming goes horribly wrong' incident, but you can't deny they're becoming more frequent. What I find the worst is how he CONTINUED to game, even after bludgeoning his own father to death, the mother must've been scared to death.

The Truth
This is, yet another act of video-game caused violence. This is why, although I was allowed to do it, I will NOT let my children play any game that they shouldn't be playing. If they are under 13, then they will not touch any game that is T or M, and so on.
It is bad parenting, in my view, to buy the game for a child who is not old enough to buy it themselves. yeah, your child might be 13, then by all means buy them a T rated game, but for the love of GOD! DON'T BUY THEM MODERN WARFARE 2!!! One of the missions is KILLING INNOCENT CIVILIANS FOR GOD'S SAKE!!!!! Yeah, you might laugh about and think it is funny, but you probably have a higher mentality than a 8, 9, or 10 year old child that plays this game and thinks that it is OK to do because it's being done in a video game.
Although, I do think that the M-rating should be lowered to the age of 15 or 16 because children of these ages are turning into young adults, and have been taught by now, that murdering people because it happens in a game is bad!
Buying a M-rated game for a child who shouldn't play it is basically the same thing as buying cigarettes for your 16-year old child. Yeah, it might not have the same side effects, but it is still not good for their well being and mental state of mind!

If that kid went that crazy over a stupid computer game imagine what he would have done if he had MW2 for the PS3 and had that taken away from him? lol. I feel bad for the dad.
