A 14 year old boy from Russia beat his Dad to death while he was sleeping, after he was banned from playing video games. His keyboard was removed by his parents after he'd been playing on his computer for a week. After seeing what the boy had done, his mother gave him back the keyboard, and he played games for several more hours until he fell asleep. At this point, the mother phoned the police. In Russia, he can be charged for murder, despite his young age.
Yes, it's another 'gaming goes horribly wrong' incident, but you can't deny they're becoming more frequent. What I find the worst is how he CONTINUED to game, even after bludgeoning his own father to death, the mother must've been scared to death.

I can't believe that someone would take gaming so seriously that they would feel the need to kill their dad, just to go back and play even more... I wouldn't even blame this on the game. First off.. this kid has got to have some serious pychological issues and i don't even think that we should be playing games because clearly the game must have triggered something inside of his screwed up head.
Sure... we all swear at the game, get pissed off or maybe even throw a controller once in a while but to make gaming your life, entirely to kill for is extremly sad.
I also hope that the mother is going to be O.K. after experiencing this event...also.. R.I.P to the Dad

Everyone here is like Z0MG what a psycho. But his parents must have been pretty dim because if i had a kid who spent even a whole day on a game id make he stop. I dont justify what he did at all, and i certainly dont think he wasnt to blame, but with stories of things like this happening before you'd think they'd have noticed that when he spent a whole week on the game something wasnt right...
