Microsoft Offers Geohot Free Phone

Before I begin note that I'm typing this on my IPhone so bare with any mistakes :p.

Microsoft, creator of the Windows 7 phone has contacted George Hotz and offered him one of their sleek new phones.

Yesterday George said on his blog that he plans to buy one of these new phones. In response, Brandon Watson, an entrepreneur for Microsoft, said the following on Twitter:



We all know what George can do. Let's see if he out does himself this time.

This does get me thinking though. Is Microsoft trying to send a message to Sony? While Sony is suing people they're rewarding hackers and asking for Geohots help.

Geohot has said to Sony that he will help them make their new console (presumably PS4) immune to hacks, but I guess Sony doesn't want the help.

Its probably a bugged phone.

Maybe they want him to jb it so they can fix it?

its not like microsoft is generous or caring, its more of they are tryign to get their image up and make sony look bad by offering free t shirts and phones and not sueing. its all a public relations scheme to get more users on xbox or windows or anything microsoft. still it probably will work.

Well Sony IS a bunch of angry Japanese people, cut them some slack.
