Microsoft Offers Geohot Free Phone
Before I begin note that I'm typing this on my IPhone so bare with any mistakes :p.
Microsoft, creator of the Windows 7 phone has contacted George Hotz and offered him one of their sleek new phones.
Yesterday George said on his blog that he plans to buy one of these new phones. In response, Brandon Watson, an entrepreneur for Microsoft, said the following on Twitter:

This does get me thinking though. Is Microsoft trying to send a message to Sony? While Sony is suing people they're rewarding hackers and asking for Geohots help.

First and foremost they never disable consoles the most they ever do is a console ban from XBL. Secondly this is the better setup because you can use home-brew and other stuff all you like however games aren't modded to **** online.

I agree for the most part but GeoHot said himself that he created it so it wouldn't allow piracy. He himself is not doing anything wrong and if Sony wins it will be because there such a big company and that will be the only reason. If Sony shall sue anybody it should be the person if there ever is one that comes out with the program that allows piracy.

I'm not quite sure if any of you realized this but the only reason why MS is doing this is because there is no threat of piracy on the 360 or the W7 phones but there is on the PS3 and sony is worried about another break down like the PSP, which im running 6.20 cfw with over $12,000 in games and movies, just saying to prove my point.
MS is only rubbing it in Sony's face is all, as soon as an issue with piracy occurs, MS tune will change.
*Edit* Oh yea, the only other reason is because Microsoft is responsible for ALL its servers, hence Xbox Live. Sony on the other hand, has to appease all of its publishers by not allowing hacking because at any moment, Activision could say Fxck you Sony and all of your hacking Users and move CoD to Xbox only.
