Microsoft Offers Geohot Free Phone

Before I begin note that I'm typing this on my IPhone so bare with any mistakes :p.

Microsoft, creator of the Windows 7 phone has contacted George Hotz and offered him one of their sleek new phones.

Yesterday George said on his blog that he plans to buy one of these new phones. In response, Brandon Watson, an entrepreneur for Microsoft, said the following on Twitter:

We all know what George can do. Let's see if he out does himself this time.

This does get me thinking though. Is Microsoft trying to send a message to Sony? While Sony is suing people they're rewarding hackers and asking for Geohots help.

For all the PS3 Fanboys that never had or no anything about them 360 has been hacked for awhile in all games and piracy was all over the place i could get a game for 5 bucks a month before release...The problem for sony is tho everyone on the PS3 are making games unplayable its all nice to have a littile fun but if you all start scrweing up all the games have fun ruing your system atleast MS knows enough to get rid of the problems were Sony is still trying to figure out WTF to do about everyone crying that can't play games b/c its all messed up

To all the Sony Fanboys have a good time ruing your system and basically making it unplayable i hope in the end it was worth it

your dumb, the only games that are messed up is Call of Duty, no other game is messed up and the Sony can fix that and so can the producers of the games.

I hoping for ownership modification of games only requiring a one time register on a pc and ps3

is it possible that Microsoft had plotted with GeoHot or even with others as well to break the integrity of the PS3 security foundation? if this source is true, then Microsoft had previous knowledge about these ps3 hackers and "encourage" to "wreck havoc" and release "secrets" to the general public, but this is my likely assumption

Great assumption, I could believe that.

Do a barrel roll!
It wouldn't be so far-fetched. Microsoft is the kind of company that stoops really low.
