Well i am not banned (if they are banning yet) and i have been running the CFW since it was released and until a mass amount of people are banned i am not worrying. If you are worrying about it yet still want to use the CFW you can attempt to 'stealth' the custom apps you are running such as the FTP server to appear as a real game in the boot history. But also you can clear your boot history.

a few things can happen since everyone wants to screw the ps3 over.
1) psn won't be free anymore, this seems more and more likely if they can't patch it
2) ps3 support will slowly dwindle down as people keep using cfw. Please don't bs me saying people with cfw won't pirate. Look at the psp. How many people use cfw and not pirate. Why don't people tell me what they are gonna do with their cfw? challenge lobby's? make your own software? please, most of you aren't even smart enough to write a simple game like tic tac toe, (i'm not either). The fact of the matter is that most of you do not want to pay the developers for the amazing games they make because you are poor. You need to get your sorry buts off the chair and either go get a job or go to a path that will get you a job instead of trying to pirate games because you can't afford to.

Its as if you guys see the new nike sneakers or denim jeans but are too poor so you have to try to download a door so you steal the material from the store. Last thing, if sony bans and even bricks most of your consoles, 99% of you won't do crap. You are too scared and poor to buy a lawyer and go against sony because you know that you will lose. Sony has the money and has some of the best lawyers in America and you and your lawyer will be smashed just like how you are every night on Black ops and in Mw2. I mean why else would you make challenge lobby's to get a 50 k/d and a million kills (not even joking on that one)

I also hope this retard Geohot is jailed or sued. Even better would be if he were forced to pay for every game that was pirated by the community. With intelligence like his, he goes and hacks a kiddy console while he could use his brains to actually do good to this world. Another reason why the whole world sees most Americans as idiots, (because they actually are, we are ranked extremely low in math and science for such a developed country)

You can pirate games on all plattforms. The ps3 only was the last console that didnt got hacked until jailbrake came and now geohots 3.55. Sure pirating games is a problem but alot of them are just junk and overpriced. And it wont be the end of the gaming world. In fact pirating games made it what it is today. Back then Comodore 64 games where to expensive and they got pirated and shared. And with that the developers got the attention of alot of gamers. The only thing that has changed since then is that alot of people can now play online. And if they pirate, cheat or whatever they do, they will mostly get banned from the community services. be it steam on PC, xbox live or playstation network. And hands down every serious player wants to play online with friends.
