Here's what I emailed them (Fake Name)
Dear Sony,
I've heard that my system will get banned for using the CFW 3.55, is that true? All I did with it was host challenge lobbies in Cod: Mw2 and Cod4, I did not use backup manager to download free games which I know you guys don't like. All I did was install patches into those 2 games, I didn't go any further. Will I get banned for it?

I sent one using a hotmail account, just use that email (or the one relevant to you)

I called Sony myself today with 2 other people using Skype, and asked the same thing. The guy I was talking to said they arn't allowed to tell us anything about what they're doing, but they ARE comming out with a new PS3 Update that is spossed to *fix* the issue. When I asked if we could get banned, all he said was he can't release the information, but he advises against using the CFW because there may be consequences...
