Well, what I wonder is that would the Ps3 be able to handle graphics and gameplay like what Battlefield 3 is showing off? Is the Xbox, which is leading in sales, and what is thought of when most people think of consoles, holding the PS3 back.

If the Xbox weren't here, do you think that Dice may have tried to make the PS3 version look as good as the PC version. I think that the PS3 version could definitely look better than the Xbox version, no doubt about that, but as far as whether or not it would hold all that data that the PC versino will, I don't know. Killzone 3 is the first game that has used all the PS3 processing power, and that game doesn't seem like it is as advanced as the PC version of BF3.

But, is Killzone 3 using the processing power in different ways than BF3? Could we be getting some really great games taken away from us because of, for lack of a better word, Xbox's inferiority?

Now, I am not trying to start a console flame war, just stating my thoughts and thinking out loud here. What do you guys think about this issue? Are we going to be robbed of a better looking BF3 because of the inadequacies of the Xbox?

Any difference in hardware going to hold back one bit of software released on one platform.
Nothing to do with it being cheaper just it being different.

I don't know if that is 100% true. A big part of the problem is that the Xbox was released so much earlier than the PS3, so many peopl edidn't wait for the PS3, and the Xbox got a huge jumpstart. And, as you see with Call of Duty, people buy things because their friends all have it, whether or not it is better than something else or not. So when the PS3 released, people said forget that, I'm getting an Xbox, all my friends have it, just like when Battlefield 3 releases, everyone will say I'm getting MW3, since that is what all my friends are getting.

i read that ms pays devs less if they cant make games fit onto a single disc. for me it was test drive unlimited 2 that got me bummed, the game has so much open road that they had to make the graphics look like it came from a ps2. im sure this was part of the devs keeping the game within the dual layer dvd limits for the 360 version.

well atleast games dont get ported off the wii version.

Of course it is, the ps3 has blu-ray and the xbox has normal dvd. I think ps3 graphics could be so much better if the xbox had blu-ray support as well.

I usually go for PC games now!

Gaming companies are just to lazy to put in the extra work to make a game for ps3. If they did the game would definetly look wayyyy better on ps3 then 360.
