So we all know how EA & Activision have been butting heads to be the best first-person shooter out there. But did you know that EA is putting $100 million into making Battlefield 3 better than the Call of Duty franchise?

According to the You must login or register to view this content., EA CEO John Riccitiello announced this investment in New York. He said that it will positively beat down the HIGHLY anticipated Modern Warfare 3. If they're putting this much money into topping one of the best first-person shooters of all time, let's hope it's worth it.

In my opinion, I think a game that took over $100 million to make should be worth it. I mean, a lot of people love Battlefield, but even more people love Call of Duty. So it's going to be a tough match for EA.

Assumeing the games stay to their core designs MW3 will use its usual run and gun arcade styled shooter and BF3 will consist of squad based tactic gameplay. This means that if you are someone who plays CoD as their main FPS and have never played a game like BF you probably wont like it seeing as you'll die a whole lot running into objectives all by yourself. On the other hand it will be a nice experience for those people who want something else. I just hope they both have clean smooth gameplay with little glitches and lots of fun. Oh and MW3 will hopefully lose the CoD Points, unlocks were half the fun for me.

Indeed, that's the one thing I love about Battlefield, sweet, sweet sanctuary! No little kids screaming "CAMPER CAMPER!" & mature teens / adults who actually try to play tactically & win. Also, no tweens saying "Dude, you suck, you didn't even quickscope."

I sure hope so the way people moved in game was awesome I wish they would give more. )

BAttlefield franchise has been pretty realistic, big maps,Squads, Vehicles....but CoD was about killstreaks and KDrs But has more Game modes ......

Battlefield will never be better there doing the maps to big 64 players in 1 match servers are gonna be shit.
