What i'm actually looking for is:

If the PSN does start to charge but their servers are more up to par as XBL's are. Would you stay with ps3 and pay for the subscription, or would you say eff it and just switch to Xbox, because their servers are already up to par?

IMO, I think that it would be more worthwhile to pay for the subscription, see if things are better for alittle while, connection wise. If not I'll purchase xboxes and keep the ps3's just for the first party releases and play all the third party releases, on the xboxes.

I may think about moving over to xbox if they started to charge. But only if PSN does not up it game to xbox live standards min.

youll have to elaborate on sony "never properly sticking to gaming" ...last i knew...playstation has sold more consoles and more games, and has been in gaming for 15 years...xbox less than 10. actually its the opposite, microsoft got into gaming to compete with sony and make money, nothing more. microsoft is nothing but greed, charging for online for sub par servers and an over loaded dashboard full of nothing but clutter. at least psn keeps it real. simple XMB, simple user interface, FREE service, and weekly store updates. and..at least ps3 has a browser...microsoft...doesnt, isnt that funny? a computer giant like microsoft without a web browser...yea...to me, xbox doesnt have anything i want. even if the servers were better, and had more console exclusives..the games are horrible(except gears of war) and i dont trust running the xbox for longer than an hour or 2. just my opinion...

ok, so..how did they not focus on it. still havent gave any insight into specific examples. psn is irrelevant in this case considering ps1 and ps2 never had it..so please explain, and bill gates pumped out millions of faulty xboxs before they was done testing , just to compete. bottom line is...sony makes hardware.....xbox makes software. both have their strong and weak points. no network is fully secure. its just not possible. so thing slike this will happen when sony or any big company is in the spotlight for so long. sony wont admit they was wrong with psn, cuz frankly, the only thing they did wrong was not add more security earlier...people will complain this whole week about psn being down, yet once its up and running, theyll all go right back and theyll stfu and play all day like they never said nothign in the first place. remember: xbl went down for 2 weeks a couple years ago, but of course no one cares to bring that up when talking about psn or xbl and their fails

But purchased this console for the FREE online play, purchased games like MAG and Conquest (online only) and now i would have to pay extra to play my games an go online?
