Sick of idiotic teenagers trolling Call of Duty? Well, you're boned, because Treyarch has no interest in keeping the kids away from its games.

"I think it should be handled by the ratings board. I don't know a tremendous amount about UK ratings boards, but I do know that you have to be of that age to purchase the content, and if parents want to let their kids play it's completely at their discretion," said community manager Josh Olin. "I get where you're coming from, it's that maybe the kids are more obnoxious to deal with - but hey, they want to have their fun too, so I don't want to kill that for them."

While it would be easy to rage at Olin for these comments, I find them refreshingly honest. It's not often a developer would admit that kids play a distinctly non-kiddy game, and go so far as to state that it's not the studio's problem -- which it isn't, really.

Of course, this doesn't help the people who have to put up with morons on Xbox Live, but I admire a studio that doesn't pretend to give a crap when it distinctly doesn't. It's better than paying insincere lip service, at any rate.

I could sue my local gaming store for selling me a Rated M game. =D

On topic: Of course their not interested in keeping kids off of games, how would they do that anyways? They banned 32473279487 hackers for exploiting hacks that crippled the 'Black Ops' title, which is why they acted so suddenly on it, it's all for the money.

Its not like they can control the age of which consumers play. There will always be parents that will allow their kids to play it. As unfortunate as it is.
