Sick of idiotic teenagers trolling Call of Duty? Well, you're boned, because Treyarch has no interest in keeping the kids away from its games.

"I think it should be handled by the ratings board. I don't know a tremendous amount about UK ratings boards, but I do know that you have to be of that age to purchase the content, and if parents want to let their kids play it's completely at their discretion," said community manager Josh Olin. "I get where you're coming from, it's that maybe the kids are more obnoxious to deal with - but hey, they want to have their fun too, so I don't want to kill that for them."

While it would be easy to rage at Olin for these comments, I find them refreshingly honest. It's not often a developer would admit that kids play a distinctly non-kiddy game, and go so far as to state that it's not the studio's problem -- which it isn't, really.

Of course, this doesn't help the people who have to put up with morons on Xbox Live, but I admire a studio that doesn't pretend to give a crap when it distinctly doesn't. It's better than paying insincere lip service, at any rate.

If you are 17 then why is your grammer so bad. I mean mine isn't perfect and I dont have spell check here on my schools web browser but there is a point where you have to realize how bad it is...

Funny thing is that most people that are mostly around the age of 17-18 just avoid these kind of threads. I think the game developers made the "mute" button for a reason. So, basically your response is unnecessary. As for my response from this thread, I'd say that its the ESRP's rating that says "You must be at 'certain age' to play this game". But just because the game is rated like that and law is enforcing it doesn't mean that we need to kick out some kids that already bought the certain title. As I'm pretty sure almost every single one of us were kids and played at least 1 M rated game. -.-

What part of your thread isn't copied and pasted? This is directly from your source:

think it is the job of the parents to ensure that the kids only play rated titles for their age, sure it is really annoying when you get 9 year olds screaming down the mic or some douche playing shit rap music or dance music down the mic and singing to it, but i take pleasure in killing them in the game and hunt them out, without these people the game wouldn't be the same and the mute button is in place to mute the little ****ers so that you have a more pleasurable....and ear friendly experience.

Long live little cocky, ill manored, shit music playing 6 year old american kiddie bastards!
