So guys, I suggest you stop downloading ps3 hdd studio and stop buying sata cables because this is not the way. If you guys want to figure this out, your gonna have to find a way to re-write the offsets of the patch to the right places on the hdd and figure a way of getting the edited patch back onto the ps3. Also I suggest starting with CoD4 or W@W, as MW2 seems to be harder.. also hunter did not begin with MW2..

They could very well be using some software that decompresses the pkg it is just well hidden.Also one way they could patch it is completely change the encryption on the hdd so hdd studio doesnt work.

true about sony can change the hdd encryption... But if we just download a clean patch.pkg off the pc... edited it and then use proxy
to upload to ps3... then it's doesn't matter what encrytion sony is using in the hdd.....
just search around... there's a site that you can download clean ps3 game patch(.pkg)****for those who doesn't know *****

Sorry 2 burst ur bubble haha but that's wot the checksum is for. On .pkg installation it checks for changes and if it finds any it corrupts it so hdd studio is the only way atm.

I think what you are doing may work....
but what i am saying is that.... they must know a better way to do this..
all I know is that I either get black screen, freezing, or nothing changed at all when I tried to use the modded patch...with the xbox patch maker method.....
beside if we could just decrypt the .pkg and use proxy to upload... it would be alot better...and don't have to worry abt sony changing the encryption at all....
so I am focusing on decrypt the .pkg..or .bin... forget abt the .ff right now
k the The Unknown and ngu ppl just tryin 2 get ppl off track and keep the secret n get rich w mod lobbies,hdd studio works because u need = big dummy (8gb),partlogs, MasterImages for open any Encrypted hdd.
