Just to save your time, you do know that the HDD method doesn't work...

It's checksummed, your getting a black screen because the checksum doesn't match. The checksum isn't stored on the HDD. So you cant exactly change it, even if it was. How would you find out the checksum algo?

You can view and access the files via the HDD but not change them. Everyone seems to think because of a post on PS3-NEWS that it has something to do with the HDD. Right now, I'm just tired of reading all this.

The method me and Hunter currently use will probably be getting patched in 3.40 (sigh), meaning we would have kept biggest secret going.

So guys, I suggest you stop downloading ps3 hdd studio and stop buying sata cables because this is not the way. If you guys want to figure this out, your gonna have to find a way to re-write the offsets of the patch to the right places on the hdd and figure a way of getting the edited patch back onto the ps3. Also I suggest starting with CoD4 or W@W, as MW2 seems to be harder.. also hunter did not begin with MW2..

If you knew what you were doing in the HDD I bet youd beable to find out yourself but for those who dont know what the **** theyre doing they shouldnt even be trying to hold these lobbies.

Just because I'm asking for simple hints, does not mean I am asking for a full blow first to last detailed guide on how to do it. If I need to, I'll do it through the tedious trial-and-error, but wouldn't a quick hint make it a bit easier and less daunting?

I might be well versed in what I am doing, but it doesn't mean I am fully capable of completing it by myself.

I thought I would be saving your time, but you guys now seem to think I'm coving my tracks. But I'm Unkn0wn so I don't need to cover my tracks (had to get that one in their Winky Winky probably the worst joke ever)

Anyway, I never said "OMFG STOP DON'T DO IT, OR SANTA WONT BE VISITING YOU THIS YEAR!" I just wanted to let you know that what you are doing will eventually be a waste of time. Also, you might be able to eventually get past the black screen but you will then find that when loading things you will receive another black screen.

I'm just trying to help. But if you don't want my help then keep going with whatever you think your onto. I can understand why you might want to test it out for yourself. You will eventually find that what I said is true.

But do you understand why people would want to actually test things out there self?
I've spoken to hunter, and i've spoken to people who have with you and you are both saying different things, hunter once said "you need a ps3 on 3.15 and one on 3.30, then you do w.e and transfer from the 3.15 ps3 to the 3.30"
Now you contradicted him by saying you don't write to the HDD, witch is understandable since in sense it would corrupt your HDD. Since then I have tried other ways, even disregarded both you and hunter's comments since well, you both contradicted each other, and still tried the HDD method. Now the method i've yet to try is this: -EDITED-
No I don't know if this works or not, but its the only method i've not seen on here or anywhere else, If this method fails then I give up trying this hack.

Cool story bro =D :y:
Even if that is true, (I highly doubt you have) then you have no evidence to back up your claim.

Dude, think about it:

Scenario A) They release the tutorial, gets patched in a day(this is Sony we're talking about) and nobody really even gets a chance to enjoy the mods.

Scenario B) They keep it to themselves, and enjoy it. This way they can mess-about with it on future games as well, like Black Ops.

Take your pick. Oh and btw, calling them "greedy little pricks" won't get you anywhere or anything, besides possibly an infraction.

you only say that because your always in their lobbies.
