Do you think killstreaks ruin the game?

Here is why I think they should keep there killstreaks to a minimum.


Killstreaks, bring interest into the game. But the game gets interested into campers! If you play a game like "Black Ops" 90% of people on their are Campers. They depend on there killstreak, meaning they do NOT want to lose there streak. (Which means, people camp so they dont get killed.) Alot of people I know lose interest in the game, because there are more people flying around in Ac130's/Gunships, than a noobs that shoot his bullet!

This also means, false statistic.
Yours stats do not fit the co-ordination of other players, A real FPS player, uses his gun. If you see someone who has a higher KD/R than you, this is only because they constantly use there killstreaks and CAMP! It does not mean they are better than you, so what is the point of the leaderboards when they are false statements?

If your a previous FPS player, who plays older games like Cod4 or WAW. You enjoy playing these sort of games, because you have spent hours getting used to your personal gun, and you become a good Player! For people who crave there killstreaks, you kill 11 people with a gun your not long term used to, then you gain a rediculasly over powered killstreak, you get place on top with 30/40 kills over something so easy to do, seriously whats the fun in getting easy kills?

Whats the point in buying a games, if you let the game get kills for you?

I hope MW3, wont be packed with killstreaks. This will avoid campers!

I say add a ton of useless killstreaks. It's nice when games have streaks that help you stay alive, or help to personally kill the enemy.
Not have a laptop do it for you .

Wow, I respect you even more now, I personally used to like killstreaks, only because I work hard for them by running around the map and being a 'pro'. If the other team camps for their killstreaks it becomes unfair as they could get a chopper gunner or dogs, which are overpowered and is a good reward for a camper, they should nerf the killstreaks atleast.

I loved the cod4 killstreaks, easy and not that OP.
UAV was great, now no one is hardly using it.

whats the difference? the more VARIETY the better..... just keep as usual to a limit of 3 per game.... just make it fool proof to boosters...thats allll.... if you earn consecutive kills....you deserve a killstreak reward... everything in the game rewards you for good things you do... kills streaks should be no different....

The 3, 5, 7 killstreaks are much better than the custom killsteaks now, in my opinion. I hate the idea of killstreaks. They encourage camping. They need something else.

CoD4 with no killsteaks would almost be a perfect game. Simplicity when it comes to Call of Duty is way better than complexity.

Hopefully there will be a barebones type mode that has all of the regular games in it, e.g CTF, Team Deathmatch, Free For All etc.

What??? BO killstreaks are FAR from overpowered. Gunships/Choppers are easily takedownable with Ghost Pro and Strela or you could hide in a building til they are gone. Attack Dogs can be shot easily or you can go to elevated position. How is someone camping "unfair"? Spawn trapping could be considered unfair but camping is? Contrary to COD community belief camping isn't cheating nor is rushing "the right way". Play with a good team and you can dominant campers or anybody else. Then you could use these "overpowered killstreaks".

If you let a guy camp FOR TEN-ELEVEN CONSECUTIVE KILLS then YOU and your TEAMMATES need to hit up combat training or play another game. It's not like MW2 where a guy could camp for 5 kills and end up with an AC130. "Noobs" don't get Dogs or Gunships/Choppers. Noobs give them up to the enemy.

Does the COD community take ANY responsibility? BO killstreaks are not close to overpowered . Wow. I bet the majority of the guys who let people camp FOR ELEVEN CONSECUTIVE KILLS or get raped by Ghost users and campers are the guys going 6-20 every game. Ghost Pro remedies the killstreak issue but unlike MW2 killstreaks are FAR from overpowered.

So what you're saying is people rarely camped in COD4 or W@W???? Honestly most people here have an excuse for everything. If a guy rushes and dominates someone will say his gun was "overpowered" or he panic knifed.

Maybe because I am also a sports gamer is the reason I laugh at all these excuses. If I play NBA 2K and a guy tries to dunk every time I take the challenge of trying to stop him as opposed to convincing myself that HE sucks regardless of if he wins since he is playing the wrong way.

Exactly. COD4 and W@W had 3 killstreaks but there was still camping. MW2 was either people complaing about campers or about "overpowered weapons". Camping sucks but it's not the end of the world. Staying out of HC modes or FFA will cut down on campers anyway. I respect good rushers. A bad rusher getting killed by campers are worse than campers. Play with a party and camping is barely an issue.

i do agree that they should be harder to obtain and be less powerful but i dont have that much of a problem with campers. sure they kill me the first time in there little spots but 90% of them stay in that spot and i just run back and throw a grenade, problem solved.
most of the time i use team support killstreaks like uav, counter uav and blackbird.

i agree completely, i play with friends and we work together, if we get killed by a camper we call out the persons location and someone goes and kills him.

Guys im not saying that killstreaks are a bad thing! Im just saying they should be managed more than often. In Black Ops you have the option to buy a gunship with enough CP within 2-3 round of good Search and Destory, and unlock it at the lowest rank! Now if there is someone who is completely new to Black Ops, 40% of people are new to COD. The GUNSHIP will attract people, and once they accomplish this Unlock, they will misuse this killstreak by camping. Now if a Newbie, starts camping in a game and gets 40 kills with a gunship, he's going to stick with this tactic through out his gaming preference!

There should always be an award to a killstreak, but dont give the mosty powerfull killstreak to a Newbie, who's rank 10 and had no experience in the game! It's unfair for others, right?

I really do hope, there killstreak system isnt the same as B/O.. I would prefer if they had a progress system, to Unlock each killstreak! Give a killstreak to a much higher rank, say 20. So there is atleast 4 hours worth of gaming experience. Not all killstreaks are unlock in a pack, each killstreak are only unlocked through out your gaming progress, and how skillful you are. This is such a wide advantage, this would help "newbies/campers/noobs" to be more challenged to up there game and fight in combat, instead of camping in corner hoping you dont get killed because you dont want to lose your streak for a gunship!

SERIOUSLY guys, thats NOT Call of Duty!!!!!!
