Post: My View On Religion

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Here's a good few points that I can think of right now as to why religion is a made up thing.

-There's millions (it seems like) of religions, how does one know they're in the "right" one?
If you were raised in a different country it's likely you would never even think about being the religion you are now. So what makes you think the one you're in is the "right" one? Everyone feels they're in the right one, if not they would switch and be a different religion.

-Prove it. I know you can't! It's just about faith and you believing in it. So if you believe in the flying spaghetti monster will it be real too? No.
There's more that proves religion is fabricated than proof that god is real.

I see religion as a thing to comfort people and make them think they're doing right and they have a purpose.

Feel free to post your arguments below Smile

Shiver do you lift?
I dont believe in religion. For many reasons.

If God was real... Where is he?
If God was real... Where is the help?

Now.. Religion was thought to have come about.. How many thousands of years ago... It was written on some scrolls and sent in caves and shit.. Now im pretty sure i could do that in this day and age for some hippy to find them.
Religion is also far to strict, Most of my daily life can be very restrictive if i was a believer of god.

It was posted before, There are tons of religion choices.. And there is only one god... so who is this god?

Also.. you do know that the bible was heavily edited throughout so many periods of years... The one that you read isnt an exact copy from all those years back.. Much of it has changed.. so i doubt you are reading the right thin.

The fact that matter can't be created from nothing. It's a contradiction, everything we know today was at one time super-compressed matter. Science can explain how this changed into different things, but not where the original matter came from in the first place.

That's just a hypothesis. It is no more correct than the hypothesis that God created it.

1. That's not evolution's problem, evolution only deals with after life begins
2. Abiogenesis is currently a well thought theory

Abiogenesis is the origin of life on Earth from chemicals transforming into prokaryotic cells. Well where did those chemicals come from? Where did the Earth come from? Refer to the first bullet.

Infinitely complex. Complex beyond calculable rhetoric. We will never understand God because he is simply not worldly. God is.

To each his own. Some may say believing is a scientific theory is just as crazy. Nothing has been proven.

Yes and no. 30,000 years go by and it still can't be explained and can't be proven wrong..

God is not in our dimension. Our physics don't apply to him.

Do you have any proof of this? The more and more you describe God the more and more fallible your argument becomes.

If I say I have a house, it's easy to accept for being a simple concept. My house is purple, a little more difficult because now your reaching out of the norm. My house has 5 stories, more and more out of the norm. My house glows in the dark... My point being that saying there is a God is another thing from going to describe Him/Her/It with no basis whatsoever

Well what is your argument and how is it any better than mine? To believe in something is to have blind faith in it. You don't need evidence to have blind faith.

As I said, you don't need hard evidence to believe in something. I wouldn't believe you, because that's utterly stupid. If you believe that there is a fire breathing 50 foot cat, then to each his own. Maybe something happened that gave you a genuine fear of cats, and that is your worst nightmare. But that isn't my problem.

1. You have been taught/shown this all your life at a young age
2. You may have been brought up it
3. You are looking for something to maybe bring you up

1. I didn't go to church as I child, and I don't really do now. But I believe and can call myself a Christian. My parents didn't have a part in me choosing my beliefs.
2. What are you asking?
3. I love life right now. It couldn't be much better, I didn't affirm a faith to brighten my spirits.

Religion was invented by tribal leaders at least 2 million years ago in order to control and financially exploit the citizenry. In the Western world everything was going great until the separation of Church and State. In the [s]improper[/s] 3rd world countries, religion is just business as usual.

It's still disputed whether Jesus rode a raptor or had a pack of attacking raptors.

I am catholic too, so I believe in god, Some times i have diffrent thoughts of god and think about it, but then I believe in god so yea. I think my religion is right because christians most of the time force you to have a belief while my religion doesn't push others to belief and let them believe what they want.
