(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I was just looking through the debate section but I didn't see this surprisingly. Anyways, even though I play PS3, I think PC gaming is better. There's a reason people hack consoles you know.

I'm a console gamer at heart. I have played games like BF3 on both PC and Console, and its just a personal opinion that I like console better.. That being said, PC easily walks away when you refer to MMO games such as EVE Online.

BF3 on console - 24 man servers, low resolution, low graphics settings. BF3 on a budget PC - 64 man servers, high resolution, high graphics settings. Having played extensively on both it's not comparable.

Yh making a gaming PC will cost way more than a PS3 but for me I would find it so uncomfortable to be sat at a PC playing a game

Yeah, that's because the PS3 hardware is about seven or eight years old. Why would I make a PC with such outdated hardware?

Now, you can build a PS4/XB1-beater for around $500 if you wait for the October-December sales and you'll save tons of money in the long run in the way of cheaper games and a lack of an annual subscription.

The PC is a superior platform although consoles do serve a purpose.

Lol I said it was a personal opinion, not that console gaming is better. I just happen to like it better.

PC gaming is the way forward to be honest, the ability to update at any given time is awesome!^^.

I like console gaming because everyone is on a level playing surface for ..fairer play. and I don't like mouse+keyboard (but i'd get a workable ps to pc controller if I was playing pc).

Today Will Be Different
Wow, I'm surprised I haven't made a post in this thread yet. But anyway, personally PC gaming is far superior to console gameplay. And I'm not going to deny my past, I've been playing consoles since the Sega Genesis so I've been around to know a thing or two about console gameplay. The fact of the matter is this, on console you're extremely limited as to what you can upgrade. And basically the only time you can upgrade is when the newest console comes out. And the amount of time between consoles can range between 5-10 years. So by the time the newest console comes out you'll be playing on almost a decades old hardware.

Of course a lot of us PC guys are going to talk about better graphics, because lets face it, you can upgrade your video card whenever you want with PC. You can also future proof your build so that you don't have to upgrade every six months. Again, personally I prefer playing BF3 at a steady 90-120fps, even though I'm capped at 60fps with my 60hz monitor. But it sure does beat the hell out of 30fps trying to run at 60hz while at a resolution of 1080p which is what you get on PS3.

And now into gameplay, and this is something you will always hear, and I can't deny it, I was in this crowd. The amount of people who complain about mouse and keyboard is astonishing. People act like it's the most unnatural thing to do, and the hardest to learn. If you can type and move your mouse around your screen, then you can use a mouse and keyboard just fine. And if you do not like the default WASD you can rebind the keys as much as you want, hell for all we know you might feel more comfortable with ESDF. Going from controller to mouse and keyboard wasn't that hard and it took seconds to get used to... and recently I got on PS3 to play some BF3 with some friends and holding a controller, using the analog sticks and the unresponsive- non-tactile buttons was shit. That in my opinion was unnatural.

And last but not least, actually building the computer. It isn't rocket science, if you can read the manuals, view diagrams or even watch videos, then you'll have absolutely no problem building a computer. I've even been on skype with people prior to them building their computer. And the whole time they were nervous as fuck, thinking they'd mess something up. And once they got to doing it, the look back at themselves and laugh. And realistically building a computer is sorta like Kinex, you buy the kit(components in the case of a computer) and have no clue what to do with them, you read the manual and follow the steps or watch a video and then you'll know what to do and have no issues doing it.

Sorry about going out on a rant, but the amount of doubt, stupidity(in some cases), and overall myths about PC gaming really should come to an end. Literally anything a console can do, a PC can do and then some. /rant

The comment about fairer play is completely unfounded. You're actually at an advantage with lower settings on most games as there will be less foliage and shadows and such to mask your enemies.

Console is hardly level either. Just look at Call of Duty and all the people who buy overpriced headsets that boost the volume of footsteps.
