Sony Can Completely Disable Your PS3
Sony is doing everything in their power to prevent piracy on the PS3. They already said that they would "fix the issues through network updates". They've even sued Geohot and Fail0verflow.
But now they may be aiming the ban hammer at psn users. After all, Sony has way more access to our PS3's then you think. Every time you turn on your PS3 a log gets sent to Sony. This can potentially show them any homebrew apps your running.
But just banning consoles isn't all, we've all known that for awhile. Now, Sony can completely disable your console if they wanted to so, whether you’re online or offline, you PS3 will remain completely nonfunctional.
If Sony can't fix this CFW expect a wave of bans to come. I'm not trying to scare you, just warning you.

they shouldnt be able to disable your ps3 cus its your property once purchased, and i think they r dammed no matter what they do. The hacked ps3s get disabled so they dont make no money off them, but if they dont disable them then they r just goin to upload games onto the system with then also leads to no one purchasing the games. So it wud seem sony is stuck it a 20% less profit then they shud be getting.

its a GAME CONSOLE. So the fact that you'd be modding there games makes sense why they'd get angry. I for one am glad sony would even think about doing this. Yes. You own the system. BUT, you still use THERE network. So i say. If using mods or jail break for offline use. So be it. For online use? Ban away.

It's not for a single game. It's for anything used on there system. You clearly don't see the impact this jail break has caused. Enough said.
