You can mod your GT5 save file to change the horsepower on the cars. I am dying to figure this out. Apparently it's done through hex with the GT5.0 file from your save (perhaps it has to be decrypted first) . I am going to begin experimenting now. If anyone gets on to something please share! And I will share any progress I make as well.

Then you need to edit Game Data.

And there are several ways to increase BHP.
1. Swap engine from another car.
2. Increase the BHP value of some part example turbo but this affects badly on the RPM Range.
3. Use multiplier, this is the best way.

All this can be done by using Brute Force Save Data and HxD Editor.

Few other thing you can do by editing your save.
1. Edit money/Rank.
2. Edit you DLC:s so you can install them again(endless DLC paints).
3. Reset cars back to 0/0/0 cars.
4. Paint stock rims on few cars. Only few working cars unfortunately :(
5. Permanent borrow glitch without going into patch 1.05.
6. And much more.

Yet I've spent literally a good 20+ hours in HxD and I haven't accomplished a damn thing, there must be 1 more piece to the puzzle because I've compared up to 4 saves at a time, analysed the byte changes, converted the bytes to readable values, converted new values back to hex, MULTIPLE attempts, MULTIPLE saves, I even made a brand new account and a brand new save data with JUST the 2014 Corvette C7 Prototype so I didn't have any other vehicle data interfering with my results... AND I STILL ACCOMPLISHED NOTHING! So whoever manages to do this JUST in HxD deserves a f**king medal.

I wouldn't even bother attempting it...

Me, Dee, Vectriixx, JordanCarr and DEREKTROTTER have spent ages analysing countless saves, comparing them byte-for-byte, attempting endless value editing and tons of research on every different value... nothing.

You should have recruited someone that knows something about anything.

The values you are looking for are stored plain for all to see. (2's complement, sbytes, bytes, uints) normal bytes?!
The hard part is figuring out PD's file table so you can write a program to find the content of each car for you.

Were you purely hex-editing?

I'm gonna take a wild guess and say the multiplier is not used by any normal cars, if so then you're probably not gonna find it by comparing normal cars.

You say you can swap engines, do you get the new engine sounds?

Yeah, you have seen that Peugeot 307 with Mazda 787b engine?Smile

But for examble Aventador/SV with Zonda engine still sounds Lamborghini.
