(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); ok so I had this old phat ps3 for a while turned it on everything worked great. except the bluray drive. but anyways I went and got it downgraded and jailbroken and cfw installed with online psn access. now I noticed I can install any pkg. in fact the dude installed a fan mod app on the ps3 and got it to work, anyways I get home I try to onstall enstones console manager pkg on the ps3 and it stays black. I have to power down the ps3 cause it freezes. now this maybe cause I took the ps3 apart how im supposed to and tried to see if there was a disc on the blu ray drive since it was indicating there was a disc but it wasn't ejecting. no disc so I pit everythkng back how it was. what can this be? I want to be able to download games on the ps3 and apps, but like I said I tried multimn and the consoe manager and it went black. any help would be appreciated.


I can install the apps but when I click on them screen goes black, im on the latest habib.

Thank you very much. But like I mentioned I'm on Rogero 3.55 Downgrader and I tried to install the CFW through XMB and it says data is corrupted. I try by recovery mode and it just stays stuck on checking please wait. Any suggestions?

Ah oh i see. I'm guessing you haven't dehashed/toggle QA on Rogero's downgrader... Here's tutorial by Rogero himself mate: You must login or register to view this content.
Oh & tip: you may have to run toggle_qa twice if you can't get the button combo to work

Edit/important: Oh and almost forgot to mention sorry, after QA flagged/toggled & test button combos done it's important from via Recovery Menu/Mode to install a 3.55 syscon & non patched LV1 and especially in your case one that's also got NoBD Patch in.. Or else it wont work & you'll get data is corrupted messages & or will get stuck on a certain %.

So.. Solution, you need to download & put this "Rogero CEX-3.55 CFW V3.7" -> You must login or register to view this content. into your USB, and install via Recovery mode (after QA toggled obviously)

Thanks for the helpful response. But I can't run any packages including the toggle because the screen goes black remember? I believe is due to the bad BluRay drive. So if I need to run the QA toggle I can't cause I can't run any pkgs or the Screen will go black

1- After completing the downgrade process and having Rogero CFW 3.x up and running, make sure you have the Blu-Ray drive attached or the QA Toggle package won't work.

Don't you have the blu ray drive?, even if the bluray drive's inside laser is dead/doesn't play games, it doesn't matter, just short cable & ribbon cable have to be attached & connected. And yeah no black screen, it'll work.

I have it it attached. The thing is the ribbon is a lil crushed. So I think that's why

Hmm i see, maybe try to flat/smooth it out if you can. Or buy 1 cheapest from online ebay.. Or 3rd option, a 3.55 cw with syscon 9.99 & BD patched you need i think so you can install from recovery & so after you can get qa toggle to run to dehash

Ok so which one first? Te mega link first by XMB and of it doesn't work then by recovery? And also te second link the Habib one. Install that second? Sorry a little confused. What I understand is install the first link you gave me which I'm guessing is Habib? I'm currently on rogero Downgrader 3.55. Then install QA and run it then do the second link?
