(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); ok so I had this old phat ps3 for a while turned it on everything worked great. except the bluray drive. but anyways I went and got it downgraded and jailbroken and cfw installed with online psn access. now I noticed I can install any pkg. in fact the dude installed a fan mod app on the ps3 and got it to work, anyways I get home I try to onstall enstones console manager pkg on the ps3 and it stays black. I have to power down the ps3 cause it freezes. now this maybe cause I took the ps3 apart how im supposed to and tried to see if there was a disc on the blu ray drive since it was indicating there was a disc but it wasn't ejecting. no disc so I pit everythkng back how it was. what can this be? I want to be able to download games on the ps3 and apps, but like I said I tried multimn and the consoe manager and it went black. any help would be appreciated.


I can install the apps but when I click on them screen goes black, im on the latest habib.

Hmm then it sounds like Rogero 3.55 v3.7 doesn't have the OtherOS ++ patches to allowd PKGs to run without bluray drive connected... Try/use this instead then.-> You must login or register to view this content.
People at ps3hax i've read said it works. And Install from recovery i recommend to be safe just in case.

ok well idk what happened now the pks work, I tried I installing that last cfw you gave me and it froze my ps3. rebooted by recovery and it worked fine. im on cfw 4.21. any who I got the root key on y usb. now I want to ask. so install rebug straight from here and continue to dex. now would pkgs would after I moved to dex or rebug? cause I do need to hace access to some apps on the ps3 in order for me to go to dex and etc.

edit* when I install rebug 4,21 via xmb it gives me an error it says that the update failed and th system will attempt to update again, I rebooted and it goes back automatically to trying to install the update. I powered off the ps3 and went into recovery mode but it didn't show up only the update attempt showed again and it stopped at 40 percent and sais error 8002f14e. and a suggestion saying to press the power button until is off and unplug th power cord andwait a few minutes and that the update will automatically resume, if the update fails again write the error code down and contact technical support. this sucks

umm why did you attempt to install rebug 4.21? Ohh cos in derek's thread he said so... Yeah no, since your bluray drive isn't fully connected/attached you'll get that 8002f14e error & loops unless connect bluray drive or install a no bluray patched firmware.

Don't worry though i don't think your PS3's bricked. But yeah stuck in a temporary update loop. So get into recovery mode/menu & the above Rebug 4.46 with BD patched downloaded + renamed to "PS3UPDAT.PUP and on your usb stick. & option 6. ye install it.

And after successfully install rebug 4.46 BD patched/bypassed pup. Do this test i advise. ↴
install & run latest Multiman pkg -> You must login or register to view this content. (CEX one). If it runs/works, then your good. Quit/exit it. And then you can continue CEX2DEX process if you choose to.

BTW again don't install rebug 4.21, can do the dex convert process on Rebug 4.46 perfectly.

man you are awesome in explaining things, I appreciate your help. one thing I didn't quite understand is this part. so install Rebug 4.46 Patched To Run Homebrew Without BD Drive and rename it to PS3UPDAT.PUP and then install File-Upload.net - NEW-REBUG.PUP and also rename it to PS3UPDAT.PUP? which one do I install first and sorry.
