(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); ok so I had this old phat ps3 for a while turned it on everything worked great. except the bluray drive. but anyways I went and got it downgraded and jailbroken and cfw installed with online psn access. now I noticed I can install any pkg. in fact the dude installed a fan mod app on the ps3 and got it to work, anyways I get home I try to onstall enstones console manager pkg on the ps3 and it stays black. I have to power down the ps3 cause it freezes. now this maybe cause I took the ps3 apart how im supposed to and tried to see if there was a disc on the blu ray drive since it was indicating there was a disc but it wasn't ejecting. no disc so I pit everythkng back how it was. what can this be? I want to be able to download games on the ps3 and apps, but like I said I tried multimn and the consoe manager and it went black. any help would be appreciated.


I can install the apps but when I click on them screen goes black, im on the latest habib.

Install from recovery mode i recommend (to be safe). And after yeah the toggle_qa PKG should run/work perfectly & you should hear the 2 or 3 beeps if success

I went to system information, and it says 4.21. now is this spoofed? can I go online with this? also from this patch(cfw) can I convert it to dex? will I have any problems if I convert it to dex? I want to make this console a dex console. or is that impossible?

And yeah it's a spoof, old spoof i'm not mistaken, and on 3.55 firmware it's no longer possible with any spoof to sign-in to PSN (as sony patched the way)

Yes you can convert to DEX but you'll have to use/be on a CFW that obviously has "BD patch" (no bluray patched) in it. Or else yeah black screen + freeze if you try to run CCAPI pkg, multiman PKG or etc, any other PKGs.

So yeah if you haven't already, (QA flagged/dehash + button combos). Straight after it's important from Recovery menu to install this "Rogero CEX-3.55 CFW V3.7" firmware to reset your PS3's Core syscon from 9.99 back to 3.55 -> You must login or register to view this content. (as it has "NoBD patch")

After Rogero CEX-3.55 CFW V3.7 successfully installed from recovery menu. You can after then install the Rebug REX 4.46 with no Bluray patch that i linked you in page 1 -> You must login or register to view this content. Install from XMB or recovery menu, no harm or difference this time.

And After on the BD patched Rebug 4.46 if you want to convert to DEX. I advise & recommend you this not so difficult converting guide/tutorial by derektrotter -> You must login or register to view this content.

Ok so install the rogero one next? even though it says 4.21(my ps3 that is) and the rogero cfw says 3.55? an yes I already toggled it and did the debug menu. so im guessing is install the rogero from recovery next and then the rebug and then convert to dex?

Yes also install the rogero 3.55 cfw from recovery and when your ps3 boots up it should say you are on 4.25 in sys info don't mind that but don't forget you need to get your eid root key for DEX!

Yes, install that Rogero 3.55 V3.7 pup from via recovery menu. And i forgot to mention, KAOSxGaming is correct if would like to convert to DEX, then it's important while you're on Rogero 3.55 V3.7, & before you install the patched BD patched Rebug firmware, that you dump/get your PS3's eid root key. (as it's needed for downgrade process)


copy/transfer the eid_root_key.bin file with a FTP homebrew to your computer, or you use MultiMan's file manager & copy to your usb flash drive/stick.

thanks for the help guys, I appreciate it. iave done th steps and im at the part where I got Rogero 3.55 V3.7 to insyall successfully via recovery, now after the installation I put the rkdumper on the ps3 and install it, now I install it and lick on it and the screen just stays black. I hear no beeps or anything. any suggestions?

edit: it went to black screen after trying to run pkgs again. im on rogero 3.55 v3.7. before installing rogero when I ranned the qa toggle the running pf pkgs worked. now after installing rogero 3.55 v3.7 it doesn't. any suggestions?
