So we all know how EA & Activision have been butting heads to be the best first-person shooter out there. But did you know that EA is putting $100 million into making Battlefield 3 better than the Call of Duty franchise?

According to the You must login or register to view this content., EA CEO John Riccitiello announced this investment in New York. He said that it will positively beat down the HIGHLY anticipated Modern Warfare 3. If they're putting this much money into topping one of the best first-person shooters of all time, let's hope it's worth it.

In my opinion, I think a game that took over $100 million to make should be worth it. I mean, a lot of people love Battlefield, but even more people love Call of Duty. So it's going to be a tough match for EA.

dam there trying hard to beat MW3. ill probably end up getting both. but im a cod fanboy so ill play mw3 more

I don't think EA needs to spend nearly as much to beat mw3. Mw3 will be the worst cod to date.

Most games AA ones are 30-45....

I dont care if they spend a billion the game has to be 60FPS and be fast paced or not going to buy I mean I bought BFBC2 MOH and they suck no more EA

I hate big maps on COD like Array...considering all the maps on Battlefield are ****ing 10* big...not my kind of game.I dont like the online idea of battlefield.

I just want to see the game engine and graphics in BF3.

Alot of people like machinima are based on the succes of call of duty gaming videos and they will always be playing cod as a main game. But remember that the game is MW3 not call of duty : Modern warfare 3!
