So we all know how EA & Activision have been butting heads to be the best first-person shooter out there. But did you know that EA is putting $100 million into making Battlefield 3 better than the Call of Duty franchise?

According to the You must login or register to view this content., EA CEO John Riccitiello announced this investment in New York. He said that it will positively beat down the HIGHLY anticipated Modern Warfare 3. If they're putting this much money into topping one of the best first-person shooters of all time, let's hope it's worth it.

In my opinion, I think a game that took over $100 million to make should be worth it. I mean, a lot of people love Battlefield, but even more people love Call of Duty. So it's going to be a tough match for EA.

The real only reason i like Cod more then any other 1st person shooter is because you have more control over your character if you know what i mean =O battlefield is very slow paced i cant jump doge bullets ect lol

Well as big of a CoD fag as i am (over 35 days of online gameplay on every cod) I must say i think im gonna get BF3. CoD is just getting old now, yeah its good time to times but damn BFBC2 how good bfbc2 is when you have a proper team/clan/crew. So thats that. BF3 FTW, I MEAN EFFIN LOOK AT IT

COD is already dead with their lastest fail

i like CoD campaign BFBC 2 multiplayer was beast, idk which one i would choose

I think Battlefield 3 will triumph this year. Just my opinion though...
