(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); FIRST OFF, try to create the e-mail account that is listed if you haven't already. However if that doesn't work there is two ways to reset password: through a phone call or through their help site.
Phone Call:
-Must know e-mail entered and the EXACT username used. (can find e-mail where you log in on ps3)
-On hold for 10-15 minutes.
-They ask for personal info, and then later ask for an APPROPRIATE e-mail that you actually use so they can send a message to reset your password.
You can reach them through their phone number at: 800-345-SONY
NOTE: only works during their business hours.

I lost my account with credit card on it, $60 in wallet, all of my downloads worth atleast $300, all my online stuff, and my friends. Simply because I don't have access to my old email which I created like 8 years ago. Gehhh services..

I lost my Game Battles account since I tried creating both my e-mail and account at the same time, but I finished my account first, and it wouldn't let me use the e-mail since it had the word "kill" in it.
You can reach through their phone number at: 800-345-SONY
I am calling them now, but I've been on hold for 10 minutes so far. When I am done with the call I will post the results, and others should do the same.

If you know your security question answer, you can change your password on a pc.

You may reset your PlayStation®Network password two different ways using a personal computer (PC). You may reset it by answering your secret question or have a password reset email sent to the email address linked to your PlayStation Network account.

even with fake email, you can restore your account.

You'll need the account name, the email you used (even if it was fake) your ps3 serial number found on the back of you console

And contact sony customer support

I'll be using the link I provided because I know my security question answer and I'm not calling Sony so they can run up my phone bill.

Just saying if you don't want to loose accounts, you wont loose accounts, good for you knowing your security question answer, but i bet there are loads who don't remember those things for creating any fake/share accounts...

And letting them know they can get it back pretty easy.
